WHAT IS PROVIDED & WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

The captain provides everything needed for a successful fishing trip, including fishing equipment and safety equipment. Customers should bring appropriate clothing, sunglasses, food and drinks, sunscreen, and Dramamine (if your sea legs aren’t great). We also recommend bringing a cooler (that stays in your vehicle during the charter) to transport any fish caught during the trip.

DO WE NEED A FISHING LICENSE?

You don’t need a fishing license as the charter vessel license covers everyone on board. We have a six-person maximum on all fishing charters.

Am I allowed to bring my own gear?

The boat is equipped with everything you need to catch fish and have a great time. However, you’re still able to bring your own personal gear if you’d like. Please give the Captain a heads-up if you’re bringing your own or want to utilize specific equipment like fly rods.

IS ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON BOARD? 

Alcohol is allowed on board for those over 21 years old but the captain may cancel the trip at any time if he feels someone’s behavior is no longer safe for themselves or other passengers. Illegal drugs are prohibited and will result in immediate cancellation.

What if it’s supposed to rain?

With your safety in mind, rain and cold are not grounds for cancellation of trips. If you choose to cancel a trip for your comfort, you will be charged the full trip rate. If a trip is terminated mid-trip it will then be charged as an hourly rental rate. With that said, rain typically is not the reason to cancel a trip as the fish are already wet so they don’t care if it’s raining! We do sometimes make exceptions however for charters with kids. The wind/marine forecast is what matters to us.

what do we do to take care of our catch?

There is no need to bring a cooler on the boat for your fish, there is ice and a cooler on board. However, you should have something in your vehicle for your trip home. We will take care of all the fileting and bagging of fish at no extra cost.

what are the cancellation and refund policies?

All cancellations must be made 7 days before the scheduled charter to receive a refund on the deposit. If the cancellation is less than 7 days you will not receive a refund for your deposit and you will also be charged for the full charter if we cannot book the canceled date. 

The captain has the right to cancel the trip at any time for weather or mechanical failure. If the trip is canceled before it leaves the dock the trip will be fully refunded if arrangements for another day cannot be made.
